Professor Lawrie Hirst, the pioneer of this surgery has personally trained Dr Todd Goodwin in Townsville, Dr Brett Drury at the Gold Coast, and Dr Juanita Pappalardo in Brisbane, and Dr Tanya Trinh in Sydney, and they have been accredited in P.E.R.F.E.C.T. for PTERYGIUM®  Ophthalmic surgeons throughout Australia who are prepared to undertake a Fellowship with Professor Hirst are encouraged to contact The Australian Pterygium Centre.

Only these four surgeons have been trained by me in the P.E.R.F.E.C.T. for PTERYGIUM® and have been accredited to perform this procedure. Any other ophthalmologist claiming to perform the P.E.R.F.E.C.T. for PTERYGIUM® procedure is not entitled to use this trademark, and has not been trained in the procedure by me.
